Our Story
The story of Enchanted Foods began long before it had a name. It began in my family’s kitchen.
From the time I was young, the kitchen was one of my favorite places to be. My mother gave me the freedom to experiment with recipes, as long as I cleaned up my own messes afterward. Like most children, I loved desserts, but what I really loved was creating them. I would play with different flavors until something tasted just right, then invite the neighborhood kids over to be my taste testers. If they loved it too, I knew I had created something special.
Years later, that same instinct for combining flavors led me to enter a nationwide competition to find the Best Pizza Recipe in America.
I am a vegetarian, but I knew most of the judges probably weren't. So rather than creating a pizza specifically for vegetarians, I wanted to create one that everyone would love. I combined smoked vegetables with a rich white sauce to create the hearty, satisfying flavor I had imagined. After three rounds of judging over several months, my recipe was selected from more than 20,000 entries as the grand prize winner.
Winning was thrilling, but something far more lasting came from the experience. It gave me the confidence to trust my own palate and showed me what could happen when I followed my creative instincts and refused to settle for ordinary.
Several years later, my husband and I embraced an entirely raw food lifestyle. I loved the freshness and vitality of the foods we were eating, but there was one thing I found disappointing: dessert.
The raw desserts I encountered might have been nutritious, but too often they lacked the richness, texture, flavor, and beauty that made me want dessert in the first place. I didn't believe eating well should mean giving any of that up.
So I began creating my own.
From the beginning, I had one simple standard: the desserts had to taste exceptional first. I didn't want anyone to like them because they were healthy. I wanted people to take that first bite and fall in love with the flavor, the texture, and the experience. Discovering that they were made entirely from raw, plant-based ingredients could come afterward.
Over the years, I continued experimenting and refining, adjusting flavors, textures, and presentation until each dessert was everything I wanted it to be. I have always approached food much the way I approach art, intuitively and with an eye for beauty, balance, and the smallest details.
Those years in the kitchen eventually became the Signature Dessert Collection of Enchanted Foods.
And in many ways, I'm still doing what I did as that little girl in my mother's kitchen: creating something I love, sharing it with others, and waiting to see their faces after that first bite.
That is where the magic of Enchanted Foods has always been.
